A very interesting piece,good share!
I love this Need more
The transcript is terrible, and unusable by people without any idea of the subject matter. King David however, wrote in Psalm, something like: Really, my kidneys (the innermost emotions), have corrected me during the night.
I truly hope whoever is behind this channel returns one day and continues uploading videos because this is honestly one of the most beautiful channels on youtube.
Really nice video:)
This was such a nice talk!
Utter nonsense. Move along before you lose your bearings entirely.
Now I am hoping you object to the ecumenical part, not the Hesychast part ?
The Incarnation was an act from Eternity and therefore not bound by time and form- it was a union of the Form and Formless through the union of Divine and Human (temporal sapient) natures. It is therefore a precondition for all prophecy and all salvation. An Eternal act showed itself in our history as Jesus' life. When Jesus said "I AM the Way", he referred to Himself as Logos, which is just God Immanent. Even Islam doesn't deny God is Immanent and Transcendent and Within (the Trinity), although they emphasize the Unity of Essence in which these Triune modalities are irreducibly One. The Atman is The Holy Spirit, God Within. Christ is what unites the soul to the Holy Spirit within- Christ is what unites Man and God- God's own human nature united metaphysically to the transcendent nature. Christ is grace and therefore in every religion, whether acknowledged or not.

Nice..to sufis n scholars in past had some dosagreements but overall they all played best parts in the spread of true message.
I am well acquainted with Maude Murray, who has left a few comments here. Her long history of concocting wild accusations and lies to further her own bizarre agenda makes her capable of making up extraordinary stories and believing in them. In any case, how could she and we, as ordinary people, understand the reasons behind the actions of a person who was in almost every way demonstrably beyond the ordinary? I, along with many or most other long-time readers of Schuon, accept not being able to understand everything he wrote. So why would we expect to achieve a complete understanding of some of his actions, particularly when they are reported by a person with a dubious record of honesty? I believe that the eminence of his written message is all we need for our ultimate purposes.
Ibn Arabi, al-Hallaj, Abdul Qadir al-Jilani, Guénon, Meister Eckhardt, Shankara Charya... and all true Gnostics from time immemorial have had crucial ideas the opposite of Frithjof Schuon's. Read about THEIR ideas here: Frithjof Schuon: A last minute lesson in discernment And I swear that I tell the whole truth, so help me God. If I lie or calumniate anyone, may I and my most loved ones be cursed like Muhammad swore concerning the delegation from Najran.
@@maudemurray What are your accusations?
Whoever knows Schuon's work would not give a damn on what this crazy woman may have to say.
For a scholarly refutation of Frithjof Schuon's doctrines, from A to Z, see Rethinking Ibn Arabi, a book by Gregory A. Lipton, and his article De-Semitizing Ibn Arabi: Aryanism and the Schuonian discourse on religious authenticity (There's a pdf file online). For his life, see my site: frithjofschuon.wordpress.com and my book, called Third wife of the Muslim Shaykh, Frithjof Schuon. That will be published mid-September or mid-October, by Beacon Books in the U.K. There are many “scandal sheets” online, a bit hard to find; and personally, I find them all too ugly to read through; but at least this one has evidence in photographs; it’s alarming, and not actually essential unless one needs visual proof: drive.google.com/file/d/1EWcOMhwRkmNcmcIDc3fE5O0fqSbo3g0u/view?usp=drivesdkdrive.google.com/file/d/1EWcOMhwRkmNcmcIDc3fE5O0fqSbo3g0u/view?usp=drivesdk I am not recommending all of the text in that document. There are some wild exaggerations and false suppositions; and I'm sorry about the pictures. If you read the home page on my site, called "All one needs to know: Mostly biographical," you will realize why the pictures matter, but are not essential.
Thank you so much !
On this site: frithjofschuon.wordpress.com you will find all you need to know about one “great” heresy in esoterism. I wrote “great,” because it is widespread (known in over 186 countries. There are only 195); it is dreadful (because the authority of God, His Prophets, saints and scholars, are all usurped); it’s extremely convincing (partly because there’s a fantastic difference between the books and the life of someone who seems to be even more than a great saint); it effects all religions; and finally: It is INCREDIBLY HARD TO GET OUT OF! That is partly due to visions, dreams, locutions, partial realizations, eckstasies, charm, humor, physical appearance, things that seemed like miracles, lots of genial personality or charisma, temporary spiritual states, multi-faceted genius, including spiritual-seeming genius, practically all the gifts there are, and all kinds of illusions that nobody ever imagined, EXCEPT FOR ALL THE GREAT MASTERS, AND THEIR MASTER, MUHAMMAD ص ع . They imagined, foresaw, predicted and wrote warnings, which many, quite wrongly, consider unimportant, out-of-date, or surpassed. You will see that the Prophet ص ع , his Companions ر ع and the Gnostic saints, were absolutely right and agreed. Tradition began with God Himself, and you will see that Frithjof Schuon actually perverted tradition, while claiming to be the greatest traditionalist imaginable. He was, heaven help us, a disastrous heretic, claiming to be a mercy for mankind, right at the worst time in the history of the world! There are many scandalous articles about him online; but they are so full of insinuations, innuendos and exaggerations, that it's hard to believe them. As the third of his "wives," and his very closest companion for about 20 years, I know his personal life well. From the way he WROTE in books, and from the way he TALKED and LOOKED, in interviews or in lectures, one could believe one was face to face with a Door to Truth. I am sorry to tell you that his LIFE, when one knew him for decades, and when one saw him feeling slighted - showed a totally different picture. It’s hard to imagine anyone more veiled and confusing. You will see how clearly everything went wrong, how error manifested, and how it is God and His Messengers (not me at all) who warned those who seek the Truth about Him, time and again, and in ALL revelations. THE problem par excellance, was God, and what HE said, in all revelations, through all Prophets, and as elucidated by ALL the great Gnostic saints.

Sufism is a sect of Islam. This is not Orthodox mysticism.
Orthodox myst, Sufism and Kabbalah have a commonality in Ain Soph which explains the relationship they have.

Frithjof Schuon, Guénon, Coomaraswamy and the rest of the perennialist traditionalist were religious swingers
The Veils of the Hearts put by God necessitates a confrontation by the human being.Sounds like albeit remotely Existentialism the absurdity of life necessitates the daily acceptance of the daily hardships struggles futility of living. The Existentialism of Kiergegard was not Godless I rush to add. Even Nietzche when he claimed god was dead my Heart indicates that He meant the small gods of petty glorification Not the Ultimade GOD.No doubt this will sound so grincement de dents but that what my Heart tells me.No other reference required.
I would like to get the script of this upload.it is very profound. It has also many beautiful quotes.A script that assuredly that will be very close to my Heart. Many thanks.
It is always my Heart that keeps telling me to make pursue the Pillars of Islam. It is always in my Heart that I feel the pains hurts and wounds of any of any wrong deeds actions thoughts. Great talk.
I'm a Shia Muslim, our religion itself is super esoteric (the opposite of Sunnism). I was just looking for videos on the Eastern Orthodox Church because it's an interest of mine. This video was a great surprise!
It is a bit of a shame that most perennialists seem to not focus on Shia Islam. I think we can find an avataric notion there with the 12 imams, and things they said regarding themselves.
@@mikehutchinson4826 Schuon has mentioned the "esoteric" aspect of Shia, but yes they didn't focus as much on it, all though it was never the object of Perrennialism to give an encyclopedic account of the metaphysics of every religion. Their stated goal was to introduce the notion of esoterism and metaphysics to western minds using examples culled from various faiths. The point after that was to discover the rest on your own.
Ecumenical nonsense
Hello there, Why is it nonsense? I’m not looking for an internet fight, I’m genuinely curious why you feel this way.
Kallistos ware is speaking
The rich mans Jordan peterson
This is Jordan Peterson for the STABLE minded
@Bat Computer I guess what I meant was Peterson and Schuon both provide a psychological blueprint of religion but Schuon is much more complex and would have a smaller more sophisticated audience while Peterson would have mass appeal.
@Bat Computer I wouldn't call Jerry, Elaine and Kramer to be a bigger audience
The comparison would be valid if Peterson's perspective was valid, but Peterson's perspective is shot through with errors. Unfortunately Peterson's training in the modern discipline of psychology, and especially his fascination with Jung, seems to have fatally compromised his thinking in many respects.
@@Mike-md7op I think he's extremely overrated. I put him in the same category as Deepak Chopra.
It looks that science has presume many calculations....thanks R.Sheldrake.for this explanation.

Truth
"The Heart ( of a believer) is the throne of the All-Merciful (= Al-Rahman) " is a false Hadith.
As there could not be mercy and compassion without love, nor love without compassion and mercy, so there could be no Allah (Who is the Merciful Compassionate One) in our hearts without His Mercy and Compassion. But the true believer believes that the Mercy, Compassion and therefore Love of Allah towards us is so great that He is willing to be in our hearts. That He is even willing to experience all we experience, including our suffering. To bring us to Himself.
"The Heart ( of a believer) is the throne of the All-Merciful (= Al-Rahman) " is a false Hadith.
Provide evidence of your claim if you are truthful.
You cannot talk about Vedanta/Hinduism without talking about the caste system.
Yes, you can.
race is a fact. also, temperament and individual metaphysical potential are necessary considerations in assigning places in a society
Caste is a reality; class is an artificial construct. Reference the book Castes and Races by Frithjof Schuon - enlightening.
Vedanta or pure metaphysics is Independent. Hinduism includes the Cast System.
@@rickdeckard1075 The caste system has nothing to do with race.
